When surveyed 90% of seniors say they want to stay at home instead of moving to a senior living environment. CareMinders Home Care research determined the top reasons seniors say wanted to stay at home. At the Alzheimer’s Association (MN, ND Chapter) annual dementia conference March 14, 2015 CareMinders conducted a poll of the participants on what they understood as the #1 reason. The attendees who participated in the poll were professionals and family members of people who have dementia. The participants placed a heart shaped post-it in the window labeled with #1 reason they, their family member or clients have said they want to stay at home. The results are displayed and tabulated below.
